What's up with the weather this week?
We're halfway through May and it's officially Spring. Yet I'm getting drenched in torrential rain in the morning, and by noon I'm basking in the sunshine.
Confused much.
To be fair, it's not unusual for UK weather to switch between seasons during a 24 hour period, but darn does it make it difficult to find the time to walk Luna.
Recently I've been waking up early, I mean really early (6 am) and taking Luna for a walk. I've found she loves a walk around this time, and I do too, the local park is quieter and the crisp morning air is relaxing.
Also because Luna is a brachycephalic breed (flat-faced) the hotter weather in Spring and Summer makes it difficult for her to breathe and feel comfortable. This means if I don't walk her by midday, there's no chance of it happening until at least 8 pm. But the raining mornings this week have disrupted our new habit.
So my little nugget of advice this week is to prepare for all situations, if you're unable to walk your dog because the weather says no, then you'll need to improvise and stimulate your pooch with extra playtime instead.
Check out my favourite dog products, where I link Luna's favourite chew bone I use for times like these.
That's all for this week, folks.
See you next week!

The Royal Veterinary College of London recently published new research suggesting that the Pug has the highest health risks of any dog breed. Interestingly, Pugs also had significantly reduced risks of other health conditions.
"It is time now that we focus on the health of the dog rather than the whims of the owner when we are choosing what type of dog to own." – Dr Dan O’Neill, Associate Professor in Companion Animal Epidemiology at the RVC
